I updated the driver and I also wrote an inf file for the device. The thing now is that the device is recognized as a virtual COM port on device manager. Can I make it appear as a USB port? Does it have to do with the fact that the USB PHY is programmed as a CDC-ACM compatible device so it can work only as a com port or it's all about the inf file?
